Public funding alone will not pay for the UK’s energy transition. It will need £500 billion investment to deliver warmer homes, energy security, cleaner transport local generation. To secure that investment, places need more than credible projects, they need investable portfolios.
The Fit4Finance knowledge library equips local authorities with tools from strategy to project portfolio commercialisation: setting the direction, building a pipeline, prioritising and developing projects, designing a portfolio, engaging capital, and moving into procurement and delivery. Wherever you are on that route, there is something for that stage.
The resources include a diagnostic tool, to assess investment readiness, reviews of different investment models, training courses about basic finance, case studies from authorities who have done this and guidance on everything from pipeline data to investor conversations.
