Who we are, and what we do
It all started with research. We spoke to local authorities as part of the Prospering from the Energy Revolution and Energy Revolution Integration Service projects, and found an opportunity to help.
So Energy Systems Catapult received funding from UK Research and Innovation, and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, and after close collaboration with the Net Zero Hubs and local authorities, Net Zero Go was launched in 2022.
Net Zero Go supports local authorities to accelerate their Net Zero projects by providing the knowledge, tools, and connections needed for success.
We help officers who are long on ambition but short on resource and give them the skills and tools to decarbonise buildings, sites and local generation.

We have curated knowledge from UKRI, Innovate UK, UK Energy Hubs, APSE, Anthesis, Ashden, EnergyRev, Local Partnerships, UK100, and many more, not to mention the 40+ local authorities that have shared their insights and case studies, including Cornwall Council, Rochdale Borough Council, West Sussex County Council, Oxfordshire County Council, Exeter City Council, Bristol City Council, and Birmingham City Council.
