This Electricity Forecasting Tool has been produced by Local Partnerships to help local authorities determine their future electricity procurement requirements.
Please read the “Guidance” sheet carefully to support you with relevant information regarding electricity reduction interventions. The forecast also provides emissions, determined by the multiplying of consumption data from your authority with conversion factors set by BEIS (now DESNZ). Emissions are reported as CO2e.

What is the Electricity Forecasting Tool?

A template that can be used to forecast future council electricity consumption (on a portfolio basis) and procurement needs after considering the effects of decarbonisation interventions and areas of growth. Within the tool we have built some summary tables and graphs (See O_Summary and O_Scenarios worksheets) that might help convey this information to non-expert audiences. The Electricity Forecasting Tool automatically links forecast consumption data with the relevant UK grid electricity carbon factor.
