Land Lease

A Land Lease is a low risk-low revenue commercial arrangement for EVI procurement where the LA retains little control over the resulting service by leasing land it owns to chargepoint suppliers.

Own and Operate

The Own & Operate Commercial Arrangement is a high risk-high revenue approach for EVI Procurement, providing the highest level of control over the chargepoint network. As of 2022, most public EVI has been deployed using this approach.

External Operator

The PPCP External Operator (EO) arrangement provides a route for the LA to own the EVI network and have a high level of control while transferring the operational risk and responsibilities to the service provider.

Joint Venture

A Joint Venture (JV) is a separate business entity created by two or more parties, often including the LA and at least one service provider.

Public-Private Commercial Partnership

PPCP is a flexible Commercial Arrangement that shares aspects of capital cost, operational costs, control and risk between public bodies and their service provider.

Concession

Concession is a specific subset of a Public-Private Commercial Partnership (PPCP) Commercial Arrangement that offers the right to deploy EVI, contingent on their investment and ongoing service.
